New version 1.2.14 – updated May 12, 2026
Changes to protocol templates
We have made several improvements to protocol templates to ensure clinicians have relevant data to make informed care decisions:
- Default treatment protocol is selected automatically
When creating a new protocol, the default 6-week depression or pain protocol is now pre-selected. This should make protocol creation a little faster. - Default protocols now require Sooma App connection every day
This ensures that monitoring information is up to date without delay. Clinician can edit this setting, if patient has no access to internet or to smartphone. - Extended follow-up window added
The 6-week protocols include questionnaires also for weeks 8 and 10, so clinicians have better visibility on symptom progression after treatment period ends.

What else is changing for clinicians
In the Sooma portal, you may notice the following changes:
- Questionnaires can be answered during clinic visits
If a patient completes a questionnaire while they are at the clinic, you can now enter the answers on the patient’s behalf.

- Patient login information can be sent to email
You can now create a patient using an email address instead of a phone number. - Quick feedback button
A feedback button has been added to the portal. You can use it to send ideas or report issues directly to Sooma. - Clearer treatment status indicators for errors
Added a status “Processing of results failed” to indicate that treatment logs have been received, but with errors. - Patient gender and age fields moved to Sooma App
Patient can fill the information for their profile speeding up the clinician workflow when creating patients in Sooma Portal
