What’s new?

Upcoming release for Sooma App and Portal

We are pleased to announce the next release, introducing new treatment outcome page for all portal users, and a lot of other minor enhancements and fixes to both the patient app and the Sooma portal.

New version – upcoming September 14, 2026

For clinicians – Sooma portal

New: Outcomes page — see how your patients are doing as a group

The new Outcome page shows how your clinic’s patients respond to Sooma treatment, based on the questionnaires they already answer in the app (PHQ-9, GAD-7, WHODAS 2.0, and NPRS for pain).

At the top you get the key numbers at a glance: how many patients you have, how many treatments they complete on average, how much their scores change, and what share of them respond, reach remission, or achieve a clinically meaningful improvement.

Below that, two charts show the trend over time — the average score week by week from baseline onwards, and how each individual symptom (sleep, mood, worry, energy…) develops, so you can see what improves first.

Use the filter panel on the left to focus on the patients you’re interested in — for example only those who completed at least a certain number of treatments, a particular diagnosis or age group, or a specific time period. Default filter gives you a sensible starting point, Reset all clears everything.

Demo account flag. Patients you mark as Demo account on their basic information page are left out of all statistics.

Patient credential delivery with email. When creating a patient, Send Email now requires an email address, Send SMS a phone number.

For patients – Sooma App

More reliable device connection. Several situations where the app got stuck or showed the wrong status on treatment page have been fixed — for example if the device was switched off and on again after the contact measurement, or powered off during preparation. The app no longer reports a treatment as completed when it wasn’t, and a switched-off device disappears from the device list right away.

Answer questionnaires during treatment. Missed questionnaires now also show on the treatment screen, so they can be filled in while the stimulation is running — no need to go back to the home page.
