Sooma Portal
Full oversight of at-home tES treatment
The Sooma DUO system pairs a CE-marked Class IIa tES device with two connected tools: the Sooma Portal for clinicians and the Sooma App for patients. Together they let you prescribe transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) for treatment at home, while keeping full visibility of every session. This makes remote treatment monitoring easy and practical for any clinic.
Most patients can do their treatment course at home, on their own schedule. You stay in control of the protocol, see how treatment is progressing, and step in when the data tells you to. The result is care that reaches more patients without filling your clinic calendar.
Why remote tDCS treatment monitoring matters
- Treat more patients. At-home sessions with remote tracking mean fewer in-clinic appointments per patient and shorter queues.
- Full remote visibility. Adherence, dose, and patient-reported outcomes are recorded for every session and visible in one place.
- Safety built in. Automatic resistance monitoring, pre-set electrode positions, and a fixed treatment dose keep home use within the prescribed protocol.
- Easy to adopt. Simple protocols and short training get clinicians and patients started quickly.
Sooma Portal: the clinician’s control center
The Sooma Portal is a secure web application for the care team. You prescribe and manage treatment from any browser, and the Portal keeps a complete record of each patient’s progress.
- Create and customize protocols. Set treatment parameters per patient and adjust the plan as treatment progresses.
- Track adherence and dose. See completed sessions, missed sessions, and accurate dose delivery for every patient.
- Review patient-reported outcomes. Standardized questionnaires such as the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are captured over time so you can follow symptom change.
- Make data-driven decisions. Treatment logs, outcome trends, and dosage reports support timely, informed adjustments.

Sooma App: guided treatment for the patient
The Sooma App (iOS and Android) guides the patient through each session and connects to the Sooma DUO device over Bluetooth. It is designed so that patients can run their own sessions confidently at home.
- Step-by-step session guidance. The app walks the patient through device setup and starts the prescribed session.
- Reminders and progress. Session reminders and progress views help patients stay on track with their treatment course.
- Built-in questionnaires. Patients complete outcome questionnaires in the app, feeding results straight back to the Portal.
- Designed for home use. Patients can do sessions themselves, on their own schedule, with no clinic visit required.

Safety by design
Sooma DUO is engineered so that home treatment stays safe and consistent with the protocol you prescribe.
- Default “no” policy. The device does not allow starting treatment without valid prescribed treatment session.
- Controlled stimulation dose. Treatment uses a steady current with short ramp-up and ramp-down phases. The device ends each session automatically when time is up.
- Automatic resistance monitoring. The device continuously checks contact quality so current delivery stays constant, even through hair.
- Accurate stimulation target. The ComfoCap head cap has pre-set electrode positions, so the dose reaches the intended area every time.
How remote tDCS treatment monitoring fits your workflow
Onboarding is built to be quick. Clinicians complete short certification training at their own leisure in our learning platform, prescribe a protocol in the Portal, and the patient is guided through setup by the app as soon as they receive the device. All data is stored in compliance with GDPR, with pseudonymized storage on secure cloud infrastructure.
