Sooma and Clariane launch multi-country pilot following successful EIC Corporate Partnership Programme

Sooma has entered a strategic collaboration with Clairane, the leading European community in care, healthcare and hospitality in times of vulnerability, to deploy Sooma’s non-invasive brain stimulation technology across more than 35 clinics, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes in five European countries.
The collaboration began through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Corporate Partnership Programme, where Sooma was selected among 14 EIC-backed health innovators to present its clinically validated transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) technology to Clariane.
Following a series of innovation workshops and clinical discussions, the companies signed a framework agreement in June 2026 to launch a multi-country pilot. A total of 33 Sooma devices will be deployed across facilities in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands to evaluate how tDCS can be integrated into routine care for depression, chronic pain, and neurorehabilitation.
“As the need for effective neurological and mental health treatments continues to grow across Europe, healthcare providers are increasingly seeking innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes. Our collaboration with Clariane brings safe, evidence-based neuromodulation therapies to one of Europe’s largest care networks, expanding access to effective treatment options for depression and pain while supporting clinicians in delivering high-quality care”, said Tuomas Neuvonen, Co-founder and CTO of Sooma Medical.
The pilot will assess both clinical implementation and operational scalability, supporting Clariane’s ambition to expand evidence-based, non-pharmacological treatment options. For Sooma, the collaboration provides valuable real-world clinical validation within one of Europe’s leading healthcare organizations.
