The 18th Congrès Français de Psychiatrie comes to Strasbourg on the theme “Politique,” with more than 170 hours of sessions across four days. Sooma will be on the exhibition floor, with our French team, Fares Gharbi and Laetitia Natalini, on the stand throughout.
Sooma tDCS is a CE-marked system for delivering transcranial direct current stimulation as a treatment for depression, developed in Helsinki and used in psychiatric clinics across Europe. In France, patients reach it in two ways. Clinics offer it as home therapy, with the treating clinician setting the protocol and overseeing the treatment course, while the patient conducts the daily sessions at home. Clinicians may also direct patients to buy a device from Sooma for self-guided treatment. Each session takes 30-minutes, and tDCS fits into a treatment plan alongside medication and therapy for patients who cannot tolerate or would rather avoid pharmacological treatment.
