- The meta-analysis is based on a systematic review of 9 placebo-controlled trials using tDCS as only intervention, in a total of 572 participants.
- The effect of active tDCS was found to be moderate, and significantly superior to sham for both response rate (30.9% vs. 18.9%) and remission rate (19.9% vs. 11.7%).
